Privacy Policy


We only use session cookies within our online range of products. These are comprised of a random combination of numbers and letters, stored as the session ID. Most browsers automatically delete session cookies when the browser is closed.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the "Do not accept cookies" option in your browser settings, or by setting your browser to prompt for your permission each time a cookie attempts to gain access. You can delete cookies that have been set in your browser. Please consult the instructions for your browser or the normal Internet forums to find out how to make these settings in your browser.

We only use the following, mandatory session cookie:

Name Purpose
PHPSESSID This session cookie allows the language selected by you at www.pdp.de to be maintained when scrolling through pages. After logging-in to our closed user area, this session cookie is also used to detect a successful login, thereby ensuring that another login is not required every time a new page is accessed. If you do not accept this session cookie then the functions on the web page are limited.

Furthermore, if you voluntarily use the social media buttons (for example, the Facebook link) a cookie will be set to save the user selected setting of these buttons.

Data storage

In our online range and when providing services, we and our contractors store personal data. When doing so, we observe the legal requirements, especially those of the German Data Protection Act and the German Broadcast Media Act (TMG).

Naturally we also conform to the precept of data avoidance and data economy.

We do not process personal data in countries outside of the application area of Directive 95/46/EC.

When you use the pdp website you remain anonymous with the exception of the normal storage of your IP address by your internet provider, unless you voluntarily enter data in a form in one of our pages.

Data types and designated uses

Contact data such as name, company, telephone number, e-mail address of interested parties, contractual partners and third parties. We use this data to make contact, answer and process requests and, when applicable, in providing and invoicing our services. When necessary, we forward this data to common service providers such as DHL or DPD when dispatching letters or goods, or cashing direct debits.

Registration data, such as the user name and password for our closed user area. This data is required for private access of a user to his customer account. We link the registration data as required to the contact data to identify the user and to thereby be able to allocate the information and data provided by the user in the user area to an order.

Other data from forms on our web pages. We store this data to be able to process the requests and comments from interested parties and contractual partners.

Content from correspondence is entered by us when requests and orders are processed by e-mail or by other documents, and is only stored and used for the purposes agreed upon.

Payment data such as details of bank account or credit cards is entered by us when requests and orders are processed by e-mail or by other documents, and is only stored and used for the purposes agreed upon. When necessary, we forward this data to our main bank or credit card company.

Server logs (date, time, URL of web pages, browser type/version, used operating system, IP address). The log files from our web server are required to provide and invoice server capacities by our appointed provider. The log data is deleted at short intervals. We do not consolidate this data with other personal data.

Data security

We protect the stored data by appropriate means from unauthorized access, unauthorized changes, disclosure and loss.

Only those staff members and contractors have access to the personal data that is absolutely required to provide the service in question.

Access to our closed user area is only possible after entering a login name and password. The user receives this access data on request and he must always treat it confidentially. When exiting from the closed user area, the user should log off and/or close his/her browser before permitting others to access the computer.

Information and corrections

As soon as we are informed about incorrect data, we correct, block and/or delete this data.

You can check whether we have stored any personal data and the content of the data at any time. Just contact the pdp GmbH data protection officer at the address below.

Similarly, you can also contact the pdp GmbH data protection officer if you ever wish to change or delete any personal data we may have stored.
